Degree programmes in landscape architecture
The Department offers Bachelor and Master degree programmes in Landscape Architecture. Students complete a Bachelor of Science first and then continue with a Master in Science in Landscape Architecture.
The aim of education in landscape architecture is to find a balance between, on one hand, the conservation and management of landscapes and historical environments, and on the other hand, creating sustainable well-designed environments and communities.
In landscape architecture the outdoor spaces are being evaluated as a whole ranging from environmental protection and land use to residential environments. Landscape architecture is a multidisciplinary field consisting of designing open spaces, squares, streets, courts or gardens; it can also consist of designing a commune’s green zones.
